THE FESTIVAL
Imagine yourself surrounded by people dressed in elaborate attire; children laughing and learning languages, literature and art; elderly practicing martial arts; friends enjoying sweet and spicy delicacies, neighbors sharing tea, individuals competing to solve sudoku puzzles; and crowds taking in traditional and contemporary music and performances. If you can picture this, then you are at The Asia Festival.

Throughout the day, various programs will be presented to highlight Asian Pacific American Heritage. These programs include: A Performance Stage with traditional and modern music, dance, theater and martial art demonstrations; a Learning Center with arts & crafts instruction, children's reading program, sudoku contest, photography studio, mini-film festival and Asian language instruction; and an Interactive Market Place with food, cooking demos, health and wellness exhibit and information booths from different organizations. The evening program will be highlighted with an awards ceremony recognizing outstanding civic contributions and educational scholarship.
